The journey from Hanoi to Sapa by bus takes around 5.5 to 6.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather. Hanoi - Lao Cai highways is a scenic ride although expect a little bit of bumpy parts here and there. The most scenic part is from Lao Cai to Sapa which takes about 1 hours of the journey.
