Hoang Lien Son National Park easy trek

Hoang Lien National Park is one of the important special-use forests of Vietnam, situated at an altitude of 1,000 to 3,000 meters above sea level, northwest of the Hoang Lien mountain range, which is the highest peak Fansipan Indochina (3.143m). Plants in the Hoang Lien National Park include 2,024 species of 200 families, including 66 species in the Red Data Book of Vietnam, 32 rare species, 11 endangered species such as blue cypress, bamboo, red pine. There were over 700 species of medicinal plants, such as rhododendron, needle, cardamom etc. Because of the sheer size and diversity, it would take days and considerable energy to explore the national park. However, the short easy trip around the area near Cat Cat village is enough for visitors to take a glimpse of the beautiful biodiversity. A private car will pick you up at 9am to Cat Cat village. Along the way, you can see the beautiful vegetation along the road side, the magnificent waterfall and the well-tended rice paddy. After trekking in the area around Cat Cat village, you will take a short break near the cascading waterfall before heading off to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong people. After interacting with the locals, you will trek back to the main road when vehicle is ready to take you back to the hotel.
