Day 1 (Saturday): Lao Cai – Bac Ha – Can Cau – Bac Ha
Our local guide will welcome you at Lao Cai station then immediately transport you to Can Cau market. After passing the bridge, we start our adventure uphill with amazing landscape on the ways. Opening only on Saturdays, the market is a colorful image with appearance of diverse local tribal races, including Flower Hmong, Black Zao, Phu La ethnic with their traditional costumes. You will have all morning to explore the market, then travel to Bac Ha town for lunch. After meal time is a walk to a village of Nung and Flower Hmong. You spend time here for learning about their culture, and return to the hotel before sunset.
Day 2 (Sunday): Bac Ha – Trung Do – boat trip on Chay river – Lao Cai
After breakfast, we have some walks to a famous Hmong King’s castle, then visit Bac Ha market, the largest Sunday market in the area with participation of various local minor communities. You will have lunch on a local restaurants with many tasty dishes.
In the afternoon, we take short walk to Trung Do village of by Tay communities to meet the local and explore more about their diverse culture. After that is a boat ride upstream Chay River to Bao Nhai Bridge, where our cars are waiting to take you back to Lao Cai.
